The Women in Jesus' Past

BACK TO SERMONS
December 7, 2010
The genealogy of Jesus in Matthew is unique among genealogies in the Bible. Nearly all ancient genealogies simply list the male ancestors of the person. But Matthew chooses to mention several female ancestors of Jesus because he is announcing inclusiveness in the story of Christ. In this series, Pastor Rich focuses on the lives of Rahab, Ruth, Bathsheba, and Mary to show how their presence in the royal genealogy of the world’s Redeemer is good news for all. As we anticipate the coming of Christ, we celebrate his love for everyone who receives him into their lives.
